EMEU network to submit KA2 ‘crossover’ project After two successful projects, EMEU4Engineering and EMEU4ALL sectors which were awarded with European awards (Best Practice, 2016 and Success story, 2018, the EMEU network is currently preparing a third KA2 project 2021-2024, EMEU4Crossovers. The virtual activities and study modules from the previous projects have been developed for use within specific vocational sectors, e.g. Health care, Marketing or Engineering. However, in our global society anything and everything is connected which is reflected in a growing need for innovative products, services and social innovation. EMEU Collaboration between Graafschap College and Tullamore LOETB
Collaboration Inspired by the EMEU concept, Graafschap College (The Netherlands) and Tullamore LOETB (Ireland) have started their own project. A group of students from Graafschap College and Tullamore LOETB are currently working together on an online project on ‘Teamwork.’ Each week the students have a meeting and work together on several assignments. In February 2021 they will submit a training video on teamwork for a fictional company. Feedback from all students has been positive. They enjoy the challenge and feel the collaboration adds to their learning process. Virtual Mobility in Automation and Electrical Engineering – December 2020 – January 2021 Ten students from the German Vocational school for Metal- Design- Mechatronics (BSMDM) and the Spanish Armeria Eskola took the challenge of automating the assembly process of small pneumatic parts by programming a Mitsubishi robot… remotely. Motivated to meet new people and learn how to program and do maintenance work at a distance, students from Armeria Eskola met their partners online in a live session and sent them information about the process: electrical-pneumatic schemes, instructions for inputs and outputs to be used, robot points and process grafcet. Four Dutch students went to Spain FITNESS FOR HEALTH Study Module February-March 2020 in UNI Eibar-Ermua As part of the E4ALL project, the Vocational School UNI Eibar-Ermua in Eibar hosted a sports study module dedicated to FITENESS FOR HEALTH, which was attended by four students from Horizon College from the Netherlands. Four students had a great trip to Finland. In November 2019 us four Danish students went to Jyväskylä, Finland, to visit their culinary school. We became a part of their everyday school life, and cooked both traditional Finnish food, and more classical dishes. They really gave us an insight into their culture, and we got to taste both elk, reindeer, and a lot of pike. The Finnish people was quite shy, but after a couple of days, we won them over with our charm and funny Danish accents. But this trip wasn’t all school.
