Crossover cooperation between education and industry The Danish National Agency has announced recently that the third EMEU project submitted in spring last year has been granted approval. EMEU4CROSSOVERS’ main goal is to raise awareness of staff, students and industry regarding the need for and benefits of crossover cooperation between education and industry. The economy and society are changing rapidly, and the collaboration between education and industry needs to change accordingly. In the next three years 9 partners from 5 different European countries will work together to create, test and offer crossover experiences in theory and practice allowing students from different study fields to offer solutions for observations out of their

European cooperation by programming Cobots in collaboration As part of the EMEU (Engineering Mobility in Europe) project, the Vocational School for Metal – Design – Mechatronics / BS MDM in Munich hosted a brand new module in the field of automation/ electrical engineering (AEE) dedicated to Cobots programming in November 2021. German hosts were extremely happy to welcome foreign students again after times of lockdown, Online schooling and virtual projects. EMEU4ALL Wins the European Innovative Teaching Award 2021
EMEU network’s success The EMEU network has once again proclaimed its efficiency and value by being awarded the European Innovative Teaching Award in the VET schools category. The winning project is ‘Engineering Mobility for All (EMEU4ALL)’, coordinated by EMEU in the Netherlands in collaboration with partners from Denmark, Finland, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. The E4ALL project was successfully submitted in 2016, which aimed at three weeks’ study modules for different study fields, such as: health care, social care, marketing, retail, hospitality and sports. EMEU Steering Group meeting For the last almost two years virtual mobility made possible EMEU cooperation. Connections were held tight thanks to people’s sheer dedication with the help of technology. EMEU has kept running during COVID times without any interruption. Coming up with tips to make workshops greener in different countries, commissioning machines at a distance or making a barbeque among various partner schools were some of the online activities carried out during the pandemic within EMEU. ‘Barbecue project’ brings together Basque, Dutch and Finnish students Last December Armeria Eskola was commissioned to design a barbecue for later production in the workshops of the Gradia School of Finland. To do this, they have contacted the students of Horizon College from the Netherlands to agree on technical details. Twenty students of the ‘Design in Mechanical Manufacturing’ course from the Basque VET College started the challenge with the Solidworks program for graphic representations before the Easter holidays. Aware that the plans created by them were for use in other countries, the communication officers of each group have asked questions and doubts to the members of Horizon College (The Netherlands).

Emeu network students help each other make workshops greener With the aim of developing language proficiency in the foreign language, fifteen Armeria Eskola students and fourteen BSMDM Munich students have come together to identify the needs of making the workshops greener and learning strategies using digital media. ‘How Green is Your Workshop?’ project was carried out virtually following the EMEU concept for peer learning activities at a distance. After learning about the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, students have developed a plan to make the workshops more ecological using the idea ‘communal work’.
