Learning different welding techniques in an international environment

Soldering a blocking system for doors was the challenge Horizon College teachers hans Peperkamp and Ronald Hiemstra faced 3 students from Armeria Eskola (Basque Country, Spain) and 2 Finnish ones Savon koulutuskuntayhtymä (Kuopio, Finland). It was carefully prepared and successfully carried out in the Metal Construction module, which took place from 7th to 18th of March in Hoorn Campus. Students were taught a variety of welding techniques variety (MIG, MAG and TIG).

During 15 days students worked on their technical skills by reading and interpreting technical drawings, working with sheet metal and making o plan of actions while developing their intercultural and soft skills by thinking critically, solving problems and working in teams with their European peers.
